Meet James & Chelsea Keenan

It all started in 2017...

We moved to the Shuswap from the Lower Mainland in 2017, with 4 children at the time, now a family of 8. We left our city life to become first generation farmers, and while it hasn’t ever been easy, we’d make the same decision all over again if we had to!
We were seeking change and adventure and we definitely found it when we started the farm in Salmon Arm.
With no prior farming experience, we’ve learned everything together, and built a farming business with nothing but good old fashion hard work.

We moved to Salmon Arm with the only expectation of meeting the needs of the community.
We started meeting with other families and farmers and quickly learned that food supply and security were needed in the area, so we started our farm selling chickens and pork.
What started out as a huge risk with many unknowns, has now turned into a lifestyle and a passion for raising good food for our communities!
